Everyone should be able to receive the benefits of the yoga practice. We are deeply committed to ensuring access to the transformative gifts of Yoga to all people regardless of age, class, race, ability, sexual orientation or gender. Yoga of the Valley is a refuge for everyone.
We put a premium on accessibility to yoga. It is built into all of our practices, physically, emotionally and financially.
If you can make the time for your yoga practice, YOTV is here to support you.
When the schedule and staffing allows, we offer Community Classes at a reduced rate, taught by our teachers-in-training. This allows the community to support new teachers, and the new teachers to support the community. All proceeds from community classes are split between the teacher and the Scholarship Fund. Visit our “Classes” page above for the schedule.
Class passes are the way to deep your connection to the studio, and pay as little as $14 per class depending on how often you want to come to class. If that is more than you can budget, let us know. Our Scholarship Fund may be able to help. Email yogaofthevalley@gmail.com for details.
We have a corps of dedicated students who contribute directly to the success of the studio through work-trade. Our work-study volunteers are an incredibly talented group of individuals. They are involved with all aspects of the studio, and volunteer according to their skills and interests. Some clean the studio in exchange for classes. Others help put on events, post fliers, register students and do other kinds of work that is critical to maintaining the health of the studio. We are actively looking to add new members to our work-study team. To learn more about it, email yogaofthevalley@gmail.com.
The Scholarship Fund offers partial scholarships for passes, workshops and longer programs such as retreats and trainings. Current students have donated classes and money to this fund in order to support others in our community. Additionally proceeds from community classes support this program. We built this fund to support current students if they lose a job or experience financial hardship. It is also for those who want a deeper yoga education, but cannot afford memberships or the higher priced workshops. And, it is for newer students who cannot attend the community classes due to their schedule. To apply for the Scholarship Fund, email yogaofthevalley@gmail.com
